This impressive cohort hails from Israel, Europe, and the U.S. and includes ten of the most promising, visionary scholars and writers working on Jewish-themed topics in a multitude of fields, from literature and history to philosophy and ethnography.

Amos Oz, Fania Oz-Salzberger, James E. Young, Daniel Libeskind, and Deborah Dash Moore were at the official launch of the Posen Library of Jewish Culture and Civilization at the 92Y on November 28. The Posen Foundation works internationally to advance Jewish education and promote Jewish culture in the public sphere. The Foundation awards fellowships, hosts public events, and supports Jewish scholarship in the area of modern Jewish history and culture.
Fellowships for junior scholars and emerging fiction writers
To mark Roth's 80th birthday, literary critic Adam Kirsch, communications scholar Liel Leibovitz and professor of Jewish Civilization Jacques Berlinerblau discussed Roth's contributions to literature at a panel discussion on March 18. Co-sponsored by the Posen Foundation and the Jewish Cultural Studies Program at The New School.
